Fred, (pictured left) displays a feisty Rainbow he caught during a brief hatch of tiny BWOs at Shawmut. His partner, Rene' graciously took the rear seat on our drift and also hooked several nice fish during the full day float. Bead Head Hares Ear Nymph worked well on the swing. We saw Hendricksons, a few small grey Caddis, and a few Sulphurs. Rene' is a fine salt water caster and generously made sure several fish had earring flies to remember him.

I can't remember a trip down the river that was more fun. Never too serious, these guys poked fun at themselves the whole day and we laughed loud and often.

Thanks for a fun day on the Kennebec, Guys!
