I had the pleasure of fishing Matt today on a "well-known Central Maine River". Matt wanted to drift the Kennebec and I know he'll get a chance to do that, but the water levels are too high and where we went today was just right...so Matt caught fish!

The river water temp was 60-degrees and sporadic hatches had the fish looking up. We worked some PT nymphs for practice, high-sticking below the bridge, and Matt had some good hits on this technique that was new to him. Hendicksons, Sulphurs, Blue-winged Olives, Midges and Fluorescent Green Stone Flies were in the air and on the water. Matt hooked and landed several beautifully-colored Trout. We had a fine day by any standard. Good Luck on the exam, Matt and I hope we can fish again.
