2006 Fishing Log

May 24, 2006 Matt

May 26 Rene' and Fred

June 1, Fished with Alfred. Overcast, but many fish on top feeding on spent Caddis. We had many chances at various pods of fish, most we found in slower tails of large pools.

June 3, Fellow river Guide, Todd Towle joined us to take Ron and three companions. Rain, never ending rain. Windy and cold.  But we found rising fish. Same deal. Caddis. Todd's boat landed 11 fish and our boat hooked as many.

June 4, 5  Trips cancelled because of continuing rain and very high water.

June 6, Frank and Jack High water and way off color...chocolate. Finding rising fish was a big challenge. Both Frank and Jack were up to the task and both hooked fish; Caddis and Hendrickson were sparse but proved deadly on the rising fish we saw.

June 7, Clarence We put in at Shawmut at 11 AM and although the water had cleared somewhat, it was high. The rain persisted all day. We found rising fish. Because floating flies were hard to see and the downriver wind, it made hooking fish difficult. Nonetheless, Clarence hooked many fish and landed a nice RV Brown.

June 16, Day Off to Fish

June 17, Brenda and Joe A big game hunter and flashy friend subdue Brown Trout using Hypnosis!

June 24, Henry and Mike A couple of Happy Hookers took advantage of NO wind, Hazy and Humid, BWO hatch...

June 28, Dennis and Carl Today it rained. Then it poured. Dennis and Carl were patient and way up to the task as we searched for fish and hooked them on small Caddis and Muddlers.

June 29, Maine T.U. Trout Camp Pictures say it all!

July 2, Scott and Lita The wind blew hard today and the fishing was tough.

July 3, Kane and Jim The best conditions I've seen all season and chances at 40 fish!

July 6, Jim and Grandson Tough conditions today were high and off-colored water. These guys never quit and caught fish!

July 8, John and Chris T. Cool casters find Solon beautiful and productive dry fly water.
