Brian R. with a Native Brookie or more precisely, a Squaretail which he landed on this cool, bright September day on EO. We had made a good strategy. Brian used a nymph rig and I prospected with various streamer patterns. You never know when the fish begin to become aggressive toward streamer patterns in the fall, sometime they're so keyed in to eating nymphs, they focus only on them, ignoring streamers. Today, we used both methods and "Mr. Jiggy Fly" and my new little Caddis Emerger did noble work.
